We all know the value of being healthy and fit. The Clinton County Canine Club Fit Fun Canine Fitness class incorporates luring, tricks, and controlled movements to improve our dog’s strength, coordination, flexibility and general fitness. Participation in this class will start the dog and handler team toward qualifying for AKC Fit Dog recognition.

The Clinton County Canine Club is now an AKC Fit Dog Club!
As an AKC Fit Dog Club, we periodically conduct group fitness walks open to all members. Dogs and owners can participate at their own skill level.
Recent walks include a 2.8-mile New Year's Walk at Heyworth Mason Park in Peru, an indoor February Fitness Walk at the YMCA indoor track in Plattsburgh, a 3.5-mile AKC Spring Scurry Walk on the Terry Gordon Bike Path in Plattsburgh, a Summer Walk on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus, and a September Sunset Walk at Point Au Roche.
Our next Fit Dog Walk will be part of the October 40th Anniversary Celebration! See the Flyer for additional details.
